During the Holidays on December 21st there was an iconic photo taken of some of the 54 planes that landed at Grantley Adams International Airport. It was a record for the airport. Cruise ship passengers are also on the increase and getting a hired car or a restaurant booking is a challenge. Figures, according to the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc, are back to pre Covid levels and looking to go beyond. We have ‘We gathering’ in full flow – an initiative by the Government to encourage Bajans overseas to bring their friends and return home for celebrations. Concerts, shows and events take place in the eleven parishes of the island every month so be sure to look it up and come home for the fun because ‘we gathering’!
