In a recent news article, the Minister of Housing and Lands Denis Kellman advised prospective homeowners from the National Housing Corporation (NHC) that if they can't buy outright they can look at the rent-to-buy scheme. The NHC have been looking at ways get people into houses quicker that have been lying idle. If a prospective buyer has been assured of a mortgage by the bank, they can rent the house for $500 a month until the process has been completed. This is set, according to Minister Kellman, to be very very popular.
